Softball

JYAA is proud to provide the game of softball to girls from ages 7-14

We offer 2 divisions based on age:

	The 8 and under (7 & 8 year olds) girls are granted the opportunity to play machine pitch softball. The teams field players in all positions with the machine pitching.. This particular arrangement is created to begin teaching the fundamentals of offensive and defensive performance of softball.
	The ages 9-14 is broken down into three age brackets. 10 & under, 12 & under and 14 & under who begin utilizing all facets of the game of softball including pitching.

The age used for team placement is their age on January 1st of the year of play. Softball runs from March thru June, with tournaments ending the season in July.

The teams play in the Central Ohio Girls Fast Pitch League.

Sportsmanship is continually taught at this level. The games are competetive and are an excellent way fo rhte children to learn how to win and lose with sportsmanlike behavior.
